Disputes, decided.

Luca Caranzano works card disputes at Monzo, and builds tools that show their reasoning.

Chargeback Triage Advisor

Mastercard reason codes and UK filing windows, turned into a filing recommendation, an evidence checklist and an indicative win probability.

Case Input
Evaluating case parameters against Mastercard chargeback rules and UK filing requirements…

    — —

Portfolio demonstration only. This interactive tool simulates UK issuer-side chargeback triage for showcase purposes. Outputs are illustrative and based on publicly available Mastercard dispute categories, reason codes, and general UK consumer protection principles — they do not reflect live bank policy, internal procedures, or case-specific legal advice. Do not use this tool to make real filing decisions. Built by Luca Caranzano.

      The Glass Box

A fraud score usually arrives as a number. This one assembles itself rule by rule — every point accounted for — into approve, monitor, step up or decline.

          ▶ Rule Logic —

Portfolio demonstration only. This engine illustrates transparent fraud-risk scoring for card payments. Weights and thresholds are illustrative heuristics informed by public concepts — PSD2 Strong Customer Authentication and the RTS transaction-risk-analysis exemption among them — and do not reflect any bank's live models, thresholds or policy. Never use it to make real authorisation or decline decisions. Built by Luca Caranzano.

          About

Luca Caranzano is a chargeback analyst at Monzo, working high-volume card disputes under Mastercard rules and UK filing windows. Before that, AML operations at NatWest Group; before that, trust and safety casework at Accenture Portugal. He trained as a communication designer — typography, visual systems, process design — and it shows in the method: read the network manual first, design the decision tree before the screen, show every step of the reasoning, then test it against the queue’s worst cases. The two tools above are the working proof. If your team argues about risk, say hello.
